For 3rd-year students who want an internship, PPO or strong placement opportunity.

This is not a “complete everything first” roadmap. Your job is to run learning + building + applying + networking + interview practice in parallel.

THE BIG PICTURE

Do not follow this sequentially. In real life, Learn + Build + Apply + Network + Compete should happen together.

Your 6 systems

01. Skill

DSA + Development + CS Fundamentals

02. Proof

Projects + GitHub + Internship + Open Source

03. Distribution

Career pages + Campus + Challenges + Startups

04. Network

Seniors + Alumni + Engineers + Founders

05. Interview

OA + Technical + Projects + Behavioural

06. Conversion

Internship performance → PPO

STEP 1 · Find where you currently stand

You do not need the same roadmap as everyone else.

Current Situation Your Main Problem What You Should Do Now
Starting almost from zero No hireable base yet One language + DSA basics + one development domain. Start building early.
Good development, weak DSA May fail OAs / structured interviews Keep development alive. Add consistent DSA as an interview track.
Good DSA, weak development Can solve problems but lacks engineering proof Build and deploy real software. Learn Git, DB, APIs, debugging.
Good DSA + development Usually distribution or interview conversion Stop collecting courses. Apply, network, compete, mock interview.

Ask yourself: “If I had an internship interview tomorrow, which stage would eliminate me?”

Resume? OA speed? DSA? Projects? CS fundamentals? Communication? Or are you simply not getting enough opportunities?

STEP 2 · Build the minimum hireable stack

A. One programming language

Choose one and become fluent enough that syntax is not your bottleneck.
